![]() PS2: You are handed a 10-inch thick stack of manuals written by Japanese hardware engineers. I had the joy of working with the first ones which were really a fancy GameCube, and it was very easy to use and debug. Any messy, pointer-chasing, complicated data structure you could imagine should be just fine (in theory). The GPU wasn't very fast, but it's features were tragically underutilized compared to the Xbox. Like you could do anything, but nothing would be terribly bad or great. GameCube: I didn't work with the GC much. This gives a bit of insight, some devs speaking what it was like to develop on the consoles. The PS2 has something like 10 different custom CPUs capable of different things that all need to be emulated at once, that are all doing different things, and the GPU is less semi-standard than the GC's by a bit and the way you manage memory is different by a country mile due to the system having so many memory spaces (5 or 6 i think), rather than just a couple. The GC runs on a powerPC based CPU (think older apple computers), which can be emulated rather simply on any modern PC, and the GPU is semi-standard to any normal GPU IIRC. Hopefully this helps, but it kinda is a shot in the dark. Repeat steps 8 and 9 for "Pad 3" and "Pad 4.".Now switch the "Device" drop-down to a new controller.Set up all the buttons and stuff the way you want.On the top left part of this menu, click the drop-down and find your device (my guess is you've done all this so far).Instead of double-clicking it, I right-clicked it and then clicked "Game controller settings." Make sure all controllers are recognized by the OS, or Dolphin won't be able to use them. In the Control Panel (Windows 7 and 8 not sure about other OSs), click "Devices and Printers" in icon view or "View devices and printers" under "Hardware and Sound" in category view. However, here is what I did to get things working perhaps something here could help you: I'm not too familiar with this, as I use GameCube controllers with the Mayflash GC adapter. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch. ![]() /r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
